About Rodrigo
Rodrigo Veloso is a Portuguese Artist based in Brooklyn, New York. From painting and drawing to graphic design and illustration his scope of work is very broad and multifaceted. With a Master's degree in Architecture, Rodrigo pays special attention to texture, where the oil pastel is the key element in his painting works. He's interested in different cultures and ways of thinking, nature, human figure and the relation between both. His practice is very much influenced by his travels to territories very different from his own, from South America (Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Brasil) and Africa (Egypt, Mozambique) or even New York City. These experiences shape his body of work.

After his master's degree at University of Lisbon (IST) and after working as a full time architect at the renowed Lisbon based studio ARX Portugal, he decided to leave the architecture studio and focus on his individual journey as an artist, working not only through painting and drawing, but also working in illustration and graphic design. With his move from Portugal to the US the artist expands his connections and relations in the art world, collaborating with New York based communities like the ‘Eyes on Art’ group exhibiting in Manhattan (The Storms Inside - April, 2023) and Brooklyn (At Summer’s End - August, 2023) and recently joining the Global Artist Community ‘Tableau’ from the established ‘Visionary Projects NYC’ platform as a founding member. Rodrigo has exhibited work in Lisbon, New York, Paris and Madrid.

About Vera

That same year, together, she designed and created a brand of children's products. In 2018 she joins Operação Nariz Vermelho as a Volunteer Designer, developing a digital game. Also that year, she starts an internship at an advertising production company, where she has contact with large format printing.
